Hurt's J. Loren speaks about their new video for "How We End Up Alone":
"I read through [a] vast majority of video treatments in which 'band plays in a dilapidated shack, and insert stripper here,' and that's not what we wanted to shoot for. I then read a treatment by director Max Gutierrez which intrigued me. It's a very moving concept. You really have to pay attention to it to get the whole framing for it. Max tried to pack an entire life story into a video, and I think he actually did it and it complements our music which is a really hard thing to do."
